The Finance and Investment Committee
On behalf of the Governing Body the Finance and Investment Committee oversees the preparation and monitoring of the Institute’s budget, including, importantly, advising on the number and value of the Research Prizes each year. Its other main role is monitoring the Institute’s investments and maintaining regular contact with the two investment managers, Schroders Charities and Partners Capital LLP, who each have responsibility for the day-to-day management of one half of the total portfolio.
The chairman of the Committee and the Institute’s Hon. Treasurer, since 2006, is Mr Michael French, FCA, a former Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers.
